Shullsburg/Benton Varsity Knights fell 4-0 to the Pecatonica Vikings on Tuesday despite out-hitting them three to two.
The Vikings opened scoring in the third when two walks and an error allowed two runs to score.
Reid Schlimgen scored on a fielders choice in the fifth. He had a sacrifice fly in the sixth that scored Reed Cassidy to make it 4-0 and the score held up in the Six Rivers contest.
Austin Enloe earned the win for Pecatonica Varsity Vikings. The righty allowed three hits and zero runs over six and one-third innings, striking out 12 and walking three.
Kashton Gross and Cassidy had the two hits for Pecatonica Varsity Vikings.
