The Arena Historians May monthly meeting will be held on Monday, May 18th, at 6:30 p.m. “The Welsh in Iowa County”, with guest speaker Robert Humphries, will be our feature presentation. The meeting, which is free to the general public, will take place at the Arena Diner (formerly known as Grandma Mary’s) in the Brisbane Hall section of the building. Immaculate Conception Church – Bake Sale and Silent Auction will be held May 16th from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Community/Fellowship Breakfast May 17th from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 am. CLYDE

Join us for the dedication of the Clyde Veterans Memorial on Saturday May 9th. Program begins at 1:00 pm. Honor Guard. Speakers: Clyde veteran Art Temby, town supervisor Warren Porter, guest speaker Howard Marklein. Babcock ice cream served, social after the ceremony. DODGEVILLE

On Tuesday, May 12, 2026 the Dodgeville Public Library and the Dodgeville Federated Woman’s Club will be honoring all the students who participated in the Helen Farnsworth Mears Art Contes at the libraryt. The students of Barneveld, Dodgeville, Highland, Iowa-Grant, Mineral Point and Saint Joseph School will be presented with awards and ribbons. Thirty-eight students participated in the contest. The students’ art work was judged in local, district and state competitions. A People’s Choice Award will also be presented. The public is invited.

A Mens Bible Study will meet every Tues morning at 9:30 a.m. at the home of Norm Johnson, 908 Fountain Street in Mineral Point. Artist Robert Gorder of Charcoal Expressions LLC in Baraboo, will be hosting a charcoal drawing fundraiser event at the Dodger Bowl on Thursday June 4th from 6 to 8 p.m., and donating half of the proceeds to Sleep in Heavenly Peace – WI Iowa County.

The Iowa County Cancer Coalition will have a Brat Stand and Bake Sale at 101 W. Main Street in Cobb (across from Royal Bank) from 11:00 a.m.to 2:00 p.m. on June 2, July 7 and August 4.
