DODGEVILLE

Come for coffee at the Senior Rec Center, May 5th, stay for stretching with Exhale’s, Nancy Anderson, at 10 a.m., then listen as wildlife biologist, Tom Howard, tells us about morels and other spring edibles. As usual, lots of snacks, conversation and tech help. Join us at 115 W. Merrimac St., Dodgeville at 9:30 a.m. on Tues, May 5th.

On Tuesday, May 12, 2026 the Dodgeville Public Library and the Dodgeville Federated Woman’s Club will be honoring all the students who participated in the Helen Farnsworth Mears Art Contes at the libraryt. The students of Barneveld, Dodgeville, Highland, Iowa-Grant, Mineral Point and Saint Joseph School will be presented with awards and ribbons. Thirty-eight students participated in the contest. The students’ art work was judged in local, district and state competitions. A People’s Choice Award will also be presented. The public is invited.

HIGHLAND

Otter Creek Lutheran Church, located between Dodgeville and Highland at the intersectinos of County Roads Q and P will be holding its annual Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, May 3 serving 8:00 a.m. to noon. Farm fresh pork sausage, pancakes, beverages and pastries will be served.

HYDE

Spring is upon us and it’s time for our Spring clean-up and meeting at the Hyde Chapel!

Please join us at the the Hyde chapel, 5279 County Hwy T, Ridgeway, on Saturday, May 2 from 10:30 a.m .- 12:30 p .. m.

We will have time for some cleaning in and outside the chapel (weather permitting).

LINDEN

The Linden Historical Society Annual Meeting and Progran will be held on Saturday, May 2 at 1 p.m. at the Linden Village Hall/Firestation. Program is on World War II Veterans who served from the Linden area. Almost every family had a son or daughter take part in that war.

A short business meeting will start at 1 p.m. followed by the program presented by Randy Baker. Public is invited to this free event.

MINERAL POINT

Fine Arts Nights Showcase Student Talent – Mineral Point Middle/High School is proud to celebrate the creativity and talent of its student musicians and artists during upcoming Fine Arts Nights. Community members are invited to attend and enjoy an evening of outstanding performances and artwork. The Southwest Wisconsin Cornish Society will hold its annual meeting and potluck May 3 at noon at the United Church of Christ in Mineral Point. Please bring a dish to pass and your own table setting and beverage. The society raises awareness of the influence of early Cornish immigrants and preserves Cornish heritage.

A Mens Bible Study will meet every Tues morning at 9:30 a.m. at the home of Norm Johnson, 908 Fountain Street in Mineral Point. We represent no particular religion and only work with the King James version of the Bible. All are invited to attend to attend a wonderful time conversing and answering questions anyone has.
