All the scoring was done in the third inning and Iowa-Grant doubled Darlington for a 6-3 win in a SWAL baseball game.
The Redbirds opened the scoring in the top of the third, using a pair of doubles.
The Panthers took control of the game in the bottom of the third, scoring six runs on five hits to take the lead for good. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Will Fulton following a 8-pitch at-bat that resulted in a pair of rbis.
Everett Zimmer went the distance for the win. He allowed five hits and three runs (two earned) over seven innings, striking out five and walking three.
Fulton led Iowa-Grant with two runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-2 on the day.
Myles Pettit, Zimmer, Sam Lundell, Fulton, and Ayson Speth each collected one hit for Iowa-Grant.
