April 16, (12:32 a.m.), Iowa County Communications Center received a report of an ongoing domestic disturbance at an address on Maiden Street in the City of Mineral Point. Mineral Point Police and the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.
As a result of this contact, Zeke Nelson, 32, of Dodgeville was arrested for Domestic Disorderly Conduct and three counts of misdemeanor Bail Jumping. Nelson has since been released from custody after posting a cash bond.
(2:17 p.m.), An Iowa County Sheriff’s Office Deputy initiated a traffic stop on East Leffler Street near North Johns Street in the City of Dodgeville.
As a result of this contact, Dawn M Schmitt, 45, of Fennimore was arrested for misdemeanor Possession of a Controlled Substance. Schmitt has since been released from custody after posting a cash bond.
April 17, (12:37 p.m.), The Iowa County Communications Center received a traffic complaint regarding a vehicle traveling on State Road 80, north of Livingston. An Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at a business location near the intersection of US Highway 18 and State Road 80 in the Village of Montfort. Subsequent to an investigation, the operator, Ashton C. Johnson, age 19, was arrested for criminal charges of Operate with Controlled Substance and Possession of THC. Johnson was transported to the Iowa County Jail and booked on the charges.
(5:25 p.m.), The Iowa County Communications Center received reports of water running over the roadway at multiple locations on US Highway 18 and State Road 80 in and or near the Village of Cobb. The Cobb Fire Department responded to the locations and assisted with traffic control or road closures until the roadways became clear of the water.
April 18, (6:18 a.m.), The Iowa County Communications Center received a report of a one vehicle crash on US Highway 18-151 near mile marker 54 in the Township of Ridgeway. The Ridgeway Fire Department, Ridgeway First Responders, Barneveld EMS and Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the location. No injuries were reported and Bossert’s Towing Service assisted with removal of the vehicle.
April 19, (1:32 a.m.), An Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on County Road G near the intersection of Lower Mifflin Road in the Township of Mifflin. Subsequent to an investigation, the operator, Hunter P Hubbard, age 29, was arrested for Operate an ATV While Under the Influence. Hubbard was later released to a responsible party.
April 20, (12:41 a.m.), An Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on US Highway 151 near mile marker 43, in the Township of Mineral Point. Subsequent to an investigation, the operator, Kristin Chandler, age 30, was arrested for possession of Methamphetamine, Possess Drug Paraphernalia to Manufacture, Compound, Convert, Produce, or Store Methamphetamine, Maintain Drug Trafficking Place, and felony Bail Jumping.
(4:26 p.m.), The Iowa County Communications Center received a report of a vehicle versus building crash at Kwik Trip North in the City of Dodgeville. The Dodgeville Fire Department, Dodgeville EMS, Dodgeville Police Department, and Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the location. Subsequent to an investigation, Charles B. Barrett, age 61, was arrested for Operating While Under the Influence. Barrett was released to a responsible party. Randy’s Towing assisted with removal of the vehicle.
