Dodgeville climbed back into first place behind a two-hit shutout from junior lefthander Caden Schneider Tuesday.
Schneider took the mound against previously unbeaten in the SWC Platteville in 5-0 win. Schneider struck out 10 and walked two in his gem.
Schnieder and his batterymate, Jentry Olson both had two hits for the Dodgers. They were on base when Blake Stodola delivered a clutch two run single to give the Dodgers their 5-0 lead.
The Dodgers scored a run in the second on a sac fly to left by Andrew Hesseling.
Jayce Halverson then plated the second run with an rbi single to right in inning number three. The score went to 3-0 when courtesy runner Braydenn Husom came home on a passed ball in the fourth.
Jack Graber’s hit rounded out the seven hit Dodgeville attack.
The win ties the Dodgers with Platteville in the SWC. Both have 5-1 records.
