Robert “Bob” Roelli, age 78, of Cobb passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on October 10, 2026. Bob was born on July 27, 1948. Bob was the son of Harold and Virginia (Cherry) Roelli and was raised in Waldwick, WI. As the young son of a cheesemaker, he was delegated simple chores and was affectionately known as Bobby by the customers. Bob was joined by his sister June in 1952. The Family sold the cheese business and moved to Cobb in 1965. Bob graduated from Iowa-Grant and attended MATC and graduated with a culinary degree. Bob met the love of his life, Rhonda Tremelling, in 1970 and they were married in 1974. He worked in Madison for several years at AGS and Bob Cooper glass. He enjoyed the glass repair replacement business and he and Rhonda moved to Cobb and started Rols Glass Service in 1979. He was grateful for his loyal customers and often worked Sundays to accommodate their schedules. On many occasions he was thanked with homemade jellies, cookies, and fresh farm meats. He was blessed with two sons, Casey and Cole.
He enjoyed watching them grow and served as a Cub Scout den leader for several years. He enjoyed attending Casey’s sporting events and watching NASCAR with Cole. Bob also loved playing Nintendo especially Mario with the boys. Bob enjoyed the simple things in life. His hobbies included collecting stamps, attending auctions, gardening and taking care of his flowers and watching sports and old westerns in his favorite recliner. Bob was a member of the Linden Masonic Lodge and served as Cobb Village board president for 35 years. Bob leaves behind his wife Rhonda and sons Casey (Sammy) and Cole (Christl), grandsons Ashton (Blair) and Jaeden and granddaughters Kenni and Agnes, sister June Thompson, sister-in-law Deb McLimans, brothers in law Eugene (Sherill) Tremelling and Doug (Lois) Tremelling, Larry (Amie) Tremelling and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Virgina Roelli, his parent in-laws Arlene Tremelling and Charles (Mary) Tremelling, his brothers in law Paul Thompson and Paul McLimans. Per Bob’s wishes a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday October 25, 2026 from 1-4 pm at the Dodger Bowl in Dodgeville, WI. The Family wishes to extend a very special thank you for the care he received by the SSM oncology department, the ER Department at Upland Hills Health as well as Uplands Home Health and Hospice during his battle with cancer.
He was always met with kindness and a great sense of humor to match his own. A thank you to my sister Deb for always being there and bringing Bob his beloved Daily Wisconsin State Journal every day and to all of those who stopped by to visit.
