Iowa-Grant outslugged Southwestrn 10-6 to claim a SWAL win Thursday.
A single by Presley Lehman put Iowa-Grant on the board in the top of the first.
The Panthers added a run in the third then added to it for the win.
Brynne Pettit and Quinn Hoeper combined for the pitching duties for the Panthers. Pettit gave up four hits and three runs (one earned) over four innings, striking out six and walking none.
Hoeper came on to strike out five. The Panthers amassed 13 hits in the game. Myah Batton led Iowa- Grant with three runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The catcher went 2-for-3 on the day.
Batton, Emory Riemenapp, Pettit, Trinity Baker, and Ava Klaas each had two hits for the Panthers. Pajessa Baker and Hoeper rounded out the hitting for the Panthers.
Klaas stole two bases for I-G.
