Both Iowa-Grant and Dodgeville slammed out 15 hits in their nonconference softball game Tuesday.
But a five run fifth by the visiting Panthers was enough to guide them to an 11-7 win.
Carley Shores collected four hits in four at bats to lead Iowa-Grant. Shores singled in the first inning, singled in the fifth inning, singled in the sixth inning, and singled in the third inning.
The Panthers rallied for the victory despite trailing 7-3 in the third.
A single by Shores put Iowa-Grant on the board in the top of the first.
Dodgeville took the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the first thanks to singles by Emma Dougherty and Addison Reilly.
In the top of the second inning, Iowa-Grant went back into the lead after Myah Batton singled to center field, and Quinn Hoeper grounded out, each scoring one run.
Dodgeville took the lead, 5-3, in the bottom of the second thanks to doubles by Mikayla Lathrop, and Bri Wasley.
Dodgeville extended their early lead with two runs in the bottom of the third thanks to RBI singles by Lathrop and Wasley.
Iowa-Grant flipped the game in its favor in the top of the fifth, scoring five runs on four hits to take the lead, 8-7. The biggest blow in the inning was a ground out by Hoeper that drove in two.

Hoeper stepped in the circle first for Iowa-Grant Varsity Panthers. The pitcher allowed 15 hits and seven runs over four innings, striking out none and walking one. Lathrop was on the slab for Dodgeville. She allowed 15 hits and 11 runs (10 earned) over seven innings, striking out seven and walking five. Petit pitched two and two-thirds innings of no-run ball for the Panthers in relief. The pitcher allowed zero hits, striking out three and walking none. Iowa-Grant tallied 15 hits in the game. Batton, Emory Riemenapp, Pajessa Baker, Trinity Baker, and Ava Klaas each collected multiple hits for Iowa-Grant.
Dodgeville tallied 15 hits in the game. Leadoff hitter Lathrop led Dodgeville with three hits in four at bats. Wasley led Dodgeville with three runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-4 on the day. Reilly, Dougherty, Skylar Quinn, and Tia Crubaugh each collected multiple hits for Dodgeville.
