Brynne Pettit deserved better. The Iowa-Grant pitcher battled a strong Mount Horeb team but fell victim to five unearned runs as the Vikings claimed a 5-0 win.
Pettit spaced seven hits and struck out three.
Hitting was another area the Panthers had problems. Carley Shores got the lone hit off Ella Baber who struck out nine and walked one.
