New Glarus/Monticello pulled away from Highland and handed the Cardinals a 10-3 loss in Six Rivers softball Tuesday.
Marissa Biba began the game for Highland. She gave up five hits and seven runs (five earned) over three innings, striking out three and walking four.
Sumaryn Halverson went three innings giving up four hits, three runs while walking one and striking out one.
Biba and Faith Hoffman each collected two hits for the Cardinals. Cora Healy- Dougherty went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Celia Oleson stole two bases.
Also getting hits for Highland were Emily Laufenberg, Oleson and Ava Michek.
