The Linden Historical Society will hold their “Annual Meeting and Program” this Saturday, May 2, 2026. It will be held at the Linden Village hall/fire station starting with a short business meeting at 1:00 p.m. with a program to follow. Randy Baker will present information on the World War II veterans from the Linden area. It will be an interesting program about our men and women who served during that war. The Linden American Legion Post #493 was started by World War II veterans in May, 1946 and has served the community since then. Plan on attending!
Southwest Wisconsin Cornish Annual meeting will be held this Sunday, May 3, 2026 with a potluck meal at noon. It will be held at the United Church of Christ in Mineral Point. Please bring a dish to pass and your own table setting and beverage. Come dine with your friends and enjoy socializing about our Cornish Heritage.
Upland Hills Health Auxiliary Flag Project will be held again this year. This is a great way to honor our military service members who are currently serving, have served in the past or have given their lives for our country. A display of flags will be placed on May 22, the Friday before Memorial Day, and will be present through Independence Day, July 4. Please join in honoring our service members by purchasing a flag and/or display. More information is available by contacting the Volunteer Services at 608-930-8000, extension 4800.
