Hunter Larson had a “day” for the Barneveld Golden Eagles Monday in an 18-2 win over Shullsburg/Benton in Six Rivers baseball action.
Larson pitched a complete game, striking out 12 and not walking a batter. He gave up five hits and two earned runs.
At the plate he was 3×4 with double while driving in four runs for the Eagles.
Barneveld managed 15 hits in the game. Cooper Shipman’s home run was one of them as he went 2×2 and drove in three runs.
Aden Knight knocked in a trio of runs and went 2×3.
Landon Beicher was perfect at the plate with a 3×3 performance and he drove in two runs.
Mason Durst was 2×4, scored twice and drove in a run.
Ty Thousand doubled for the Eagles with singles from Mason Haesler and Karsen Leuzinger rounding out the offensive attack.
A 10 run fourth put the game on ice for the Eagles.
