Kevin Joseph Anderson

Kevin Joseph Anderson, 68, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 8, 2026, surrounded by family. He was born April 18th, 1958, at St. Joseph Hospital in Dodgeville, WI, to Dennis and Marjorie (Wolfe) Anderson. He attended St. Joseph Catholic School and then Dodgeville High School where he graduated in 1976. He followed in his father’s footsteps and tested milk for DHIA until 1998 when he began working at Iowa County Highway Department until his retirement in December 2022.

He adored his two daughters, Kayla and Megan, who blessed him with six grandsons and a granddaughter. The boys would always bring a smile to his face when they would come to see “Papa.”

In 1999 he met Terri Gerber and they began their life together, enjoying motorcycle trips, UTV rides, gardening, working around the house and spending time with friends and family.

Kevin will be remembered for his strong work ethic. He took great pride in everything he did, especially plowing snow and maintaining the roads. For many years he would finish his day at the Highway Department and then haul silage for Wendhausen Custom Farming (or as he would say “feeding America”).

But Kevin will be most remembered for his quick wit, hilarious stories and infectious laughter. His stories about his adventures in his younger days, or his many snowmobile trips up north, would have people in tears with laughter.

Kevin is survived by his wife of 22 years, Terri. His daughter Kayla (Jerrell) Sazama and their children Sullivan and Rowley. His daughter Megan (Brad) Walter and their children Rhyker, Rhett. Rylee and Rohan. His siblings and their spouses Larry, Sue Quire, Gary, Lori and Dean Lease, Julie and Dean Reddell and Brad.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his granddaughter Romy Mae Sazama, his sister-in-law Connie Anderson, and his mother-in-law Linda Gerber.

In accordance with Kevin’s wishes, there will be no formal service but a celebration of life held at a later date.

The family would like to thank Dr. McGraw and the wonderful staff of Upland Hills Hospice for their care given to Kevin.
