I-G board fills science post

The Iowa-Grant school board filled a high school science position at a special meeting Monday.

After a closed session, the board returned to open session and took action to offer employment to Andrea Van Gilder as a high school science teacher.

In other personnel matters the board granted a one year leave of absence to Four Year Old kindergarten teacher Tricia Sander.

And, Domanyc Shackleford was approved as a volunteer for middle school track.

In other matters the board:

  • -voted to support cooperation with Highland for youth summer recreation programs at all levels.

The board toured the tech-ed space at IGEMS and most of the high school facility as it discussed short and long-term solutions for the weight training program.
