When the score is 18-1 you tend to overlook the one.

The one is the number of runs Barneveld pitcher Lauren Reese allowed as she shut down Lancaster on three hits in the game that lasted four innings. She struck out seven of the 12 outs in hurling the win.

On the offensive side, Hannah Esch drove in five runs on two hits to lead the Golden Eagles. Esch homered to left field in the fourth scoring two, doubled in the fourth scoring two, and walked in the first scoring one.

Barneveld plated 10 runs in the fourth inning. Besides the Esch homer, Reese singled for a run, Jayda Oimoen doubled, scoring two runs, Reagan Knight singled in run, Esch doubled, scoring two runs and Addison Walker doubled in another run.

Barneveld jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Esch drew a bases loaded walk. Walker singled, scoring one run, Reese hit a sacrifice fly, scoring another run, and Mya Norton homered to center knocking two runs.

The Golden Eagles extended their early lead with three runs in the top of the third thanks to RBI singles by Knight and Gordon.

Barneveld tallied 17 hits in the game with Walker and Gordon each collecting three hits. Reese, Addison Carden, and Knight each had two hits for the Eagles.
