Mason Durst and Cooper Shipman combined for a four-hit shutout as the Golden Eagles got past Potosi/Cassville 3-0 in a Six Rivers game Thursday.
The duo spaced six hits while keeping P/C off the board.
The pitching was strong on both sides. The Golden Eagles duo struck out 13, while Potosi/Cassville sat down eight.
Barneveld took a 1-0 lead in the second when Kadyn Schlimgen singled to plate a run.
Durst earned the win the Golden Eagles. The righty surrendered four hits and no runs over five and twothirds innings when he ran out of pitches, striking out 11 and walking two. The Eagles went to Shipman who earned the save.
Durst led the Golden Eagles with two runs batted in. He went 2-for- 4 on the day.
Hunter Larson and Ty Thousand had the rest of Barneveld’s hits.
