Dodgeville’s baseball team continues to get good pitching out of their staff.
Tuesday it was senior Jack Graber who pitched the Dodgers past Evansville 4-2 in a non-conference away game.
Graber went 6 2/3 with seven strikeouts and one walk in a four hitter. Nathan Johnson closed by getting the final out.
The Blue Devils got on the board in the first inning with a run.
Jayce Halverson doubled to left field which helped the Dodgers tie the game at one in the top of the third.
The Dodgers took the lead in the top of the fourth. Nathan Johnson hit a sacrifice fly to give the Dodgers a 2-1 lead.
Dodgeville totaled 13 hits in the game. Bryce Crubaugh-Lockard and Andrew Hesseling each had three hits. Rickard, Johnson, and Halverson each drove in one run.
Caden Schneider and Jentry Olson each had two hits to round out the Dodgeville offense. Blake Stodola also contributed a single.
