Carol Jean Moyer

BARNEVELD – Carol Jean Moyer, age 86, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Pine Valley Community Village. She was born on October 10, 1939, in Dodgeville, Wis., the daughter of Delbert Calvert and Bernice Doescher.
She was united in marriage to John Moyer on December 13, 1958, in Barneveld, Wis.
Carol enjoyed watching soap operas and crime shows, as well as playing solitaire and Yahtzee. When her children were young, she helped her husband with the family farm. She cherished being at home and found great joy in her independence and the simple comforts of everyday life.
Carol is survived by her daughters, Beverly (Bill) Aschliman, Susan (Mark) Anderson and Debra Anderson-Williams; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; half-brothers, Eddie Doescher and Ernie Leuthold; and half-sister, Shirley Shade. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Willard Moyer; parents, Delbert and Bernice; daughter, Patty Phelan; and half-brother, Eugene Leuthold.
Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON CAMACHO MOUNT HOREB FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 500 N. Eighth St., Mount Horeb, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026. A graveside service will follow at WEST BLUE MOUNDS CEMETERY, intersection of Hwy F and Hwy ID, Blue Mounds, at 1:15 p.m. on Friday.
