Highland held off a late Juda/Albany rally to claim a 6-5 win in a Six Rivers game Friday.
A double by Brinleigh Bollant put Highland on the board in the top of the first.
Three more Cardinals runs crossed the plate in the third inning to extend the lead to 4-0. Bollant singled in one run, and Celia Oleson drove in two more when she homered to left field.
Sumaryn Halverson went the distance on the slab for the Cardinals Halverson surrendered 10 hits and four runs, striking out four and walking one.
Highland tallied 12 hits in the game. Oleson, led Highland with three runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-4 on the day.
Bollant led the Cardinals with four hits in four at bats.
Emily Laufenberg added two hits for Highland in four at bats.
Halverson, Ava Micek, Marissa Biba and Cora Healy-Dougherty all added hits for Highland.
