Cardinals handle Vikings is Six Rivers play

Both teams had double digit hits but Highland reached that mark in runs, turning back Pecatonica 12-2 in a Six Rivers softball game Tuesday.

Celia Oleson was the hit leader for Highland as she went 4×4 with a triple and two rbis. Faith Hoffman, Brinleigh Bollant, Ava Michek and Hilary Hying all had two hits with Bollant tripled and Michek doubled.

Marissa Biba doubled with Sumaryn Halverson and Emily Laufenberg adding singles for the Cardinals.

Katelynne Jorenby and Leaha Doescher both had a pair of hits for the Vikings with one of Jorenby’s going for a double.

Brooklyn Johnsrud, Brooklyn Muench, Kiaya York, Lila Schlimgen and Cayla Doescher all added hits for the Vikings.

Halverson went the distance for the Cardinals. She gave up nine hits, two runs with one earned, walked two and struck out four.

Sam Hittesdorf, Jorenby, York and Sophia Schwery all pitched for Pecatonica.
