Marissa Biba drove in Celia Oleson with Highland’s lone run Monday in a tough luck 4-1 Six Rivers West softball loss to River Ridge.
The Timberwolves scored once in the first and twice in the third enroute to the win.
Oleson crossed the plate for Highland in the fifth. She led off the inning with a triple and trotted home on Biba’s double.
Highland had four hits, two by Biba and one each by Oleson and Emily Laufenberg.
Sumaryn Halverson went the distance in the circle for the Cardinals. She spaced six hits, gave up four runs, (two earned) with six walks and eight strikeouts.
