Arrows outlast River Valley

The Flying Arrows got out to a six-run lead in the fifth inning and held on for an 8-6 victory over River Valley on in a SWC game Thursday.

Lancaster did the most damage with a pair of three run innings in the third and fifth innings.

Ashlyn and Brooklyn Stokes split the game in the circle for River Valley. Ashlyn took the loss. She went four innings, surrendering six runs (four earned) on four hits, striking out two and walking one. Brooklyn went the last three.

River Valley accumulated 11 hits in the game. Alyssa Nachreiner, Bella DeViney, and Ella Myers each collected two hits for River Valley. Nachreiner, Ashlyn Stokes, Brooklyn Stokes, Myers, and Mahoney each drove in a run.

Brooklyn Stokes, Ashlyn Stokes, Ella Prohaska, Ella Hillebrand and Maciaih Willey all had one hit for the Blackhawks.
