Memorial Day 2026 takes place this year on Monday, May 25.

Arena
The Arena Ewing/Olson VFW Post 9336 will be having a indoor program on Monday, May 25 at 10 a.m. at the VFW. Following the program then we will proceed to the Arena Cemetery to honor Arena veterans.
Avoca
The Avoca American Legion Post 335 invites you to attend the 2026 Memorial Day Services Monday, May 25. Everyone will meet at the Avoca Cemetery with services starting 9:00 a.m.
Barneveld
On Monday, May 25th The Barneveld American Legion Post 433 will be honoring our departed Comrades. Please join us as we pay tribute. The following are the stops the Veterans will make. At each stop a prayer will be said and a rifle salute will be given. Jenniton Cemetery – 8:30 a.m., Prayer and Rifle Salute; Bethel Cemetery – 8:50, Prayer and Rifle Salute; Bilse Bridge – 9:10, Prayer, wreath to honor the Navy and Rifle Salute; Middlebury Cemetery – 9:30, Prayer and Rifle Salute; Blue Mounds Cemetery – 9:50, Prayer and Rifle Salute; Blue Mounds State Park, Historical marker – 10:10, Prayer, wreath presentation Rifle Salute; White Cemetery – 10:30, Prayer and Rifle Salute. Upon return to the Legion Hall, there will be a Memorial Day program at 11:30 a.m. followed by a pot luck lunch. Everyone is welcome.
Dodgeville
Monday May 25th, the American Legion and VFW will go to the cemeteries as follows: East Side Cemetery 8:30 a.m .; Upland Hills Nursing Home 8:45 a.m .; St. Joseph Cemetery 9:00 a.m. The parade and program will follow at 10:00 a.m. at the Veteran Memorial at the Courthouse.
Highland
Highland American Legion & Highland VFW will be holding a Memorial Day Service on Monday, May 25 11:00 a.m. at the Highland EMS building. There will be a guest speaker and comments for the Legion Auxiliary. All are welcome to attend.
Hollandale
The Hollandale American Legion Post #510 Memorial Day Parade will take place on Monday, May 25 at 11 a.m. on Main Street in Hollandale. Any kids wanting to ride their bike displaying red, white and blue are welcome to join in. A memorial day service/ceremony will take place directly after the parade at the Hollandale Legion Post by the (Valley View) ball park (at the edge of Hollandale). There will also be the customary (Hollandale American Legion Post’s) Brat and Hot Dog Feed right after service, with the proceeds from this event being used for funding future scholarships, for Badger State sponsorship events and the food pantry.
Linden
Linden American Legion Post 493 members will meet at the American Legion building on Monday, May 25 at 8:00 a.m. for Memorial Day services.
Memorial Day services will be provided at Mifflin Cemetery at 9:00 a.m., Calvary Cemetery, Cobb at 9:45 a.m., Bethlehem Cemetery, Edmund at 10:30 a.m. and Linden Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.
Mineral Point
There will be 351 American Flags displayed throughout Mineral Point’s three cemeteries during Memorial Day weekend. At St. Mary’s there will be 80 flags, at St. Paul’s there will be 94 flags, and at Graceland there will be 177 flags. They will be displayed starting Thursday, May 21. Help is needed to display the flags so please be at one of the cemeteries on Thursday, May 21 at 2:00 p.m. Flags will be taken down Monday, May 25 at 3:00 p.m. help is need please.
There will be a parade, with members of the American Legion and VFW marching down High Street starting at 10:30 a.m. on Memorial Day May 25, followed by a brief ceremony at Library Park. Following the program, the annual Memorial Day Chicken BBQ will be held at the Legion Club starting at 11:00. Drive-Thru only. Chicken BBQ plates will be sold until gone and the Auxiliary will be selling cookies.
Montfort
The Ritchie-Bowers-Kohout VFW Post 9298 of Montfort will conduct Memorial Day services Monday, May 25 at the following: St. John’s Cemetery Castle Rock 9 a.m. honoring Ignatius Prohaska; Rock Church Cemetery Livingston 10 a.m. grave site honoring Gary Peat; St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery Montfort 11 a.m. honoring William Ritchie.
Ridgeway
Beginning at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Monday, May 25, the Ridgeway American Legion will be traveling to Ridgeway’s cemeteries. There will be a public service at 11 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial on the village green. Everyone is welcome to attend!
