Nate Jennings and Daniel Yanke combined on a one hitter as Arena dropped Argyle 2-0 in the Western Section HTL opener for both teams.
Jennings went six innings for the Aces. He gave up a hit to BJ Penniston in the fourth while striking out eight and walking three.
Yanke struck out four and walked four in the final three frames.
Kylo Barker went the distance on the mound for the Beavers. He struck out five, walked seven and gave up one earned run.
The Aces scored on an Argye error in the fourth when a grounder by Trey Schulte was misplayed, allowing Zach Cady to score.
Jimmy Jennings, who was 2×2 drove in the second Aces run, sending in DH Dawson Cole.
Elijah Alt and Max Miles had the rest of the hits for the Aces.
