Dear Mr. President:
First of all, I am so happy and proud that you are finally and again my President! A big congratulations! I stayed up until 2:00 a.m. the night of the election, then went to bed when the tally registered 270 votes. You are a great leader!
That said, I am now hoping you can get rid of Pattern Energy and their 51 ugly 700′ wind turbines in the beautiful, pristine, protected Driftless area of Southwest Wisconsin.
Pattern Energy is the company that is planning to install these turbines in Yellowstone Park (a tourist park). This will have a big effect on our campers, hikers and fishermen. The noise of these turbines will be devastating!
Our Driftless areas beautiful natural resources will change for the worse along with our Bald Eagles, deer, protected bats and other wildlife will run and hide. Thousands of people use the park and beautiful lake every year for boating, fishing and family gatherings. Mr. President please help us!
Pattern Energy creates more concerns about their legitimacy and honesty than any company I have been involved in. Pattern Energy will bulldoze their way across farms under easement contracts with them without any inkling of respect for their neighbors property rights. It is Patterns way and no other way. “They have a job to do and will do it”
I have enclosed a lot of material for you to absorb along with articles that were published in the Dodgeville Chronicle, some of which I wrote.
You will see a picture of a footing for one of these turbines 50 feet deep of enormous size, filled with rebar and concrete. Our drinking water tables will be affected.
I chose to live in the country (Waldwick Township) between Dodgeville and Mineral Point, Wisconsin where it is still quiet and peaceful. I do not have a computer as they are too expensive for me.
