Missing at the UW

by J. Patrick Reilly Breaking news. A new facility is being proposed for UW-Madison that will cost an estimated $200,000,000 and will be used mainly for football. Seems the old shell is not great as a recruiting tool so we HAVE to upgrade.

We don’t need to lose things that are good

by J. Patrick Reilly I have a son who has worked for UPS for over 30 years, so when the word came out that there will be several thousand jobs cut it bothered me. I doubt he will be affected, at least not yet, as he is a semi-driver on …

Time for the R word in 2024

With the start of a new year no doubt there are many resolutions being made and some will undoubtedly be carried out. One resolution we are suggesting is a return to respect.

Thank you Mayor Basting

For the past six years the city of Mineral Point has had Jason Basting as its Mayor. During that time the city has seen business growth and many upgrades to its streets and infrastructure. Mayor Basting has been a great leader of a great community.

Thanks for making it all possible

by J. Patrick Reilly As usual the summer has gone by fast. It seems like only a couple days ago we started the summer baseball seasons for youth and those playing Home Talent League baseball. Now we are down to only a few teams still playing.
