Vote "No"

Dear Editor:
I am writing in regard to the upcoming referendum vote April 2 for the new elementary building. Having already passed a remodeling referendum in November to not exceed $11.92 million, along with a recurring $350,000.00 for operational expenses, I believe we may have exceeded the maximum we can afford. On April 2, if we pass the 19.5 million dollar alternative referendum for an all new elementary, we most certainly will be over extended, limiting our ability (and resources) to fund more needed expenses in the near future..... curriculum, technology, class sizes, music, teacher compensation, and more.
As a former board member, parent and taxpayer, I have always fought for what was best for our schools.... voting "no" may very well be what IS best for our schools.
Thank you
