The last time Highland played Potosi the Cardinals had to call on their stamina to win in five.
Tuesday was a different story as the Cards swept the Chieftains, 25-8, 25-21, 25-13.
Veteran coach Maria Wineski noted one difference in the two meetings.
“Marissa Biba was out for the first meeting,” Wineski pointed out. “Tonight she was in the line up and helped us turn things around. It was nice to have her back for sure.”
Wineski said having the complete squad helped the Cardinals with their confidence.
“It also helps we are getting more comfortable with our 6-2,” the coach said.
The Cardinals host Belmont Friday in a Six Rivers West match-up against a huge rival. The game is Friday because both football teams play Thursday.
