Wisconsin Heights/Barneveld put together an offensive showcase Monday night, lighting up the scoreboard six times to secure a 6-0 victory over Dodge-Point United Soccer at Wisconsin Heights High School.
With the win, the seventh-ranked Vanguards improved to an impressive 11-1 on the season, while Dodge-Point fell to 1-9.
Sophomore Deacon Behn fueled the Vanguards’ attack and recorded a hat trick to lead all scorers with three goals on the night. Eli Nicholes added a pair of goals, while River Lubchansky capped off the offensive surge with a goal of his own.
Despite the setback, Dodge-Point continued to challenge the host squad, getting shots on target from Tyce Sylvester, Hank Albright, Clayton Nothem, and Peyton Elsner. However, Vanguards goalkeeper Griffen Crowe proved unbeatable between the posts, stopping all four shots to record a clean sheet and earn the shutout victory.
