Dear Editor,
Your rent and property taxes will increase dramatically. High local taxes are a determent to perspective home buyers, renters, hurts the local economy and slows growth. Is this what the Dodgeville School District and City intend for our community? The Dodgeville School District will attempt a 4th referendum in November. Common sense tells you that no amount of referendums will suffice if out of control spending continues. And the District is thinking of having ongoing 3 year referendums. Renters, this does affect you. Your rent will increase if your landlord is heavily taxed on the building you live in. Senior citizens, young family homeowners, renters, landlords, businesses can’t continue to bail out school districts and city overspending. Use some common sense, reign in your ego, stop living off other peoples’ money, and budget responsibly. Enough is enough!
