Highland’s volleyball put on a clinic in serving Thursday and turned back Cassville in three sets. The Cardinals eased to wins of 25- 10, 25-15 and 25-11.
“We served well,” said coach Maria Wineski. “That allowed our hitters to get their kills. We also served 10 aces.”
Wineski was happy with how the Cardinals kept the Comets out of sync.
“We were able to get some kills off their returns,” Wineski added. “We were able to take control early and kept it the rest of the night.”
“Cassville is a scrappy team and had some moments but we were able to keep them out of their game and controlled tempo all night.”
