This is the answer that the Dodgeville Schools gave us public members to go for a 4th referendum in November. Perhaps it will be a new school motto as there may be ongoing 3 year referendums. Using no teacher raise is playing on emotions, and even manipulation. Couldn’t teachers get a raise without a referendum, if the board cut costs, or use the ongoing “annual” past referendum monies or the Governors 400 year tax the district has chosen to tax us on? Look closely to your budget!
The District said our new referendum tax would be $462 on a $250,000 house. Keep in mind, I don’t believe this includes the Governor’s 400 year tax nor the ongoing referendum from years past. Could this be a $600 ADDITIONAL amount to your property tax for just the school tax? Remember there’s also the Dodgeville City Tax for the new library. I wish the voters would think about us senior citizens in this district. The school district could cut expenses in many areas.
