This November, every Wisconsin voter will see an anti-equity constitutional amendment on their ballot. Your vote matters, and here’s why you should vote no.
Let’s be clear: Discrimination is already illegal. So what does this amendment actually do? It locks permanent change into our state constitution, making it horribly limiting to our government’s ability to address longstanding disparities created by institutional racism. Some of our legislators would rather see Wisconsinites divided. They use disinformation and anger to fuel their partisan games, while Wisconsinites across the state and party lines are working hard to make ends meet. Rather than actually passing policies that improve our lives, legislators tell us that our neighbors are the problem.
We’re not falling for that. We’re rising above the division. Let’s send our legislators a message and VOTE NO before or on November 3.
