Bullets Roll Past Cardinals

It was the Bullets game Sunday when they took care of Ridgeway Sunday 12-4 in a Western Section finals.

Blanchardville scored first in the bottom of the second inning when Cole Breuer tripled to right field, and Brock Miller flew out to drive in a run each.

The Bullets scored six runs on one hit in the bottom of the eighth inning to take control. Drew Nafzger drew a bases load walk, Dakota Doescher had an rbi single. Drew Schliem was struck by a pitch to drive in a run. Breuer drew a walk, scoring one run. A passed ball scored one run, and an error scored run number eight.

Doescher earned the win for the Bullets. He went the distance giving up five hits and four runs (three earned) over his nine innings, striking out five and walking four. Aydan Halverson took the loss for Ridgeway. The starting pitcher went seven innings, surrendering six runs (five earned) on 11 hits, striking out three and walking six. The Cardinals had relief help from Adam Cody and Brylen Lee. Cody had two hits for the Cardinals. Drake McVay, Brett Bossert and Jesse Ruiz had one each with Ruiz driving in two runs.

The Bullets tallied 12 hits in the game. Drew Schliem led with three runs batted in. Breuer led Blanchardville with three hits in three at bats. Kyle Kleppe, Doescher, and Brock Miller each had two hits for. Adding one were Schliem, Brooks Chandler and Tyler Mckeon.
