Ramona J. Muzzy, age 92, from Janesville passed away peacefully at The Meadows Assisted Living and Memory Care in Spring Green, WI. She was born on the 4th of July, 1934 in Jefferson, WI, the daughter of Wilmer and Alma Herr. She was a graduate of Janesville Senior High School. She married Richard Muzzy June 19, 1954 and they spent 55 years together creating many memories.
Ramona worked at Farm & Fleet for over 30 years at both the Dodgeville and Janesville locations. She really enjoyed meeting all the customers and the friendships she developed over the course of many years. Some of the ladies and Ramona carried on going out for breakfast for years after retirement.
She enjoyed retirement canning, golfing, rooting for the Brewers, taking the dog for long walks and taking pristine care of her yard, garden and flowers. If there was a weed or dandelion, it wasn’t there for very long.
Ramona is survived by her children: Curt and Vicki (Joe), stepson Richard Michael; Grandchildren: Jesse, Brett and Matt; Siblings: Joyce and Phyllis; sister-in-law Sharan, many nieces and nephews, and many friends and good neighbors. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard; siblings Shirley, Patti, Wilmer Jr. (Jimmy) and Don; sister-in-law Barbara; brothers-in-law Frank, Dick, Fred, and Verne, her father Wilmer and mother Alma, and her grandparents.
The family extends a special thank you to the caring staff at The Meadows Assisted Living that became more like an extended family, and Agrace Hospice Care for the kind and compassionate care they provided.
Private Graveside services will be held at Spring Grove Cemetery, Delavan. Memorials may be made to Agrace Hospice Care, local VFW or Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin.
