Newly acquired pitcher Hunter Larson struck out 11 while fashioning a shutout as Hollandale downed Wiota 10-0 in Western Section play Sunday.
Larson spaced four hits and walked only two in the 109 pitch win. Larson had just completed three games at the WBCA all-star game, playing infield for the South squad Friday and Saturday.
Larson also had one of Hollandale’s hits.
Trey Gordon and Mason Durst both doubled. Durst, Division 4 and Six Rivers player of the year for Barneveld, went 2×4 to pace the Rockies. Gordon and Chase Ignatius both went 2×4.
Larson and Kasey Helgeson had a hit each for Hollandale.
