Mineral Point’s Lance Miller Qualifies for National Junior High Finals Rodeo

Lance Miller of Mineral Point and his family will travel to Guthrie, Oklahoma, June 20-27 to compete in the National Junior High Finals Rodeo, one of the premier youth rodeo events in North America.

Miller earned his spot at the national competition after an outstanding Wisconsin rodeo season. With the assistance of his roping partner and his horses, E-Z and Prissy, he finished as the Wisconsin Reserve Champion in all three of his events: team roping, ribbon roping, and calf roping.

The National Junior High Finals Rodeo will bring together top young rodeo athletes from more than 40 states, as well as competitors from Canada and Mexico. The week-long event showcases the talents of the best junior high rodeo contestants and provides an opportunity for participants to compete on a national stage.

Miller’s accomplishments through-out the season have demonstrated his dedication, skill, and commitment to the sport. As he prepares for the national finals, family, friends, and supporters from the Mineral Point area will be cheering him on as he represents Wisconsin against some of the toughest competition in youth rodeo. The National Junior High Finals Rodeo is scheduled for June 20-27 in Guthrie, Oklahoma.
