Dodgers take outright SWC crown with win at River Valley

Dodgeville used a pair of three run innings to turn back River Valley 7- 1 and win the outright SWC title in the process.

It was the second straight year the Dodgers picked up the conference crown.

Caden Schneider limited the Blackhawks to three hits. The only run RV managed came in the fourth. He struck out eight and walked two in his complete game win.

The Dodgers scored a trio of runs in the fourth and sixth an added one in the seventh.

Dodgeville started scoring in the top of the fourth inning. Andrew Hesseling’s fielder’s choice, plated one run and two more came in on an error.

Quincy Blakley took the loss for River Valley. He went five and onethird innings, giving up six runs (four earned) on nine hits, striking out two and walking four. Keagan Heisner finished the game going 2 2/3 innings with two hits, one run, two walks and one strikeout.

The Dodgers had 11 hits in the game. Schneider was 2×4 with two runs batted in. Boone Rickard and Blake Stodola each collected two hits and had a double. Bryce Crubaugh- Lockard was the fourth Dodger to go 2×4. Nathan Johnson, Jentry Olson, and Jayce Halverson all had one hit. Jaydon Gauger, Kaden Plumley, and Drew Riedel had the three hits for River Valley. Gauger drove in the lone run for the Hawks.
