During graduation with fellow graduates looking on, Highland 2026 graduate Ben Ford received Highland’s first ever, red, white and blue cord. This is the first time the American Legion Family, Highland Post 423 and Avoca/Highland Auxiliary Unit 335 corded a military enlistee to let him know that American Legion Family and community are proud of him and stand behind him as he begins his process of enlisting into the US Marine Corp. Ford was provided with information on the American Legion so he and his family have the resources when and if they need them. Reading the citation is Auxillary represenative Nicole Welsh.
