Kendra Brom, a Dodgeville High School sophomore, was one of only 14 new appointments selected from a highly competitive pool of 177 applications across the state this spring to the WAA Student Athletic Leadership Team.
The team expands to 30 total members for the 2026-27 term.
This appointment provides a unique opportunity for Kendra Brom to serve as an ambassador for their peers and the WIAA.
The Student-Athlete Leadership Team provides a crucial studentathlete voice in the WIAA and helps instill leadership skills by gathering diverse ideas and perspectives from different areas of Wisconsin. Their involvement will assist in supporting, educating, and advancing the purpose of interscholastic athletics.
Student-Athletes throughout the state expressed interest in serving on the team by submitting an application form and a short introductory video. The WIAA received 177 applications this spring. The number of representatives from each district is determined by a percentage of member schools in each of the seven districts, as well as three new at-large positions.
