Dodgeville’s high school baseball team clinched at least a share of the 2026 SWC title with a 7-1 win over dangerous Prairie du Chien Tuesday.
The win combined with a Platteville loss to Richland Center assured the Dodgers of at least a share. A win at River Valley tonight will give the Dodgers the undisputed crown.
The ball was placed in Jentry Olson’s hand and the junior turned in an epic response. Olson limited Prairie to two hits and one unearned run as the Dodgers rolled to a 7-1 win. He struck out three and had near perfect control with no walks. He finished the seven inning stint with only 78 pitches.
Bryce Crubaugh-Lockard was Dodgeville’s offensive standout with three hits in four at bats. Crubaugh- Lockard doubled in the third inning, singled in the fourth inning, and singled in the sixth inning.
The Dodgers took a 1-0 lead in the first when Olson’s fielder’s choice plated one run.
The Dodgers added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Olson grounded into a fielder’s choice, and Nathan Johnson singled to center field for an rbi each.
Schneider and Olson each drove in two runs for the Dodgers.
Boone Rickard and Jayce Halverson rounded out the seven hit attack.
This is the second straight title for the Dodgers.
