There was no touching Dodgeville pitcher Mikayla Lathrop by River Valley in a SWC game Monday.
The freshman hurler limited the Blackhawks to four hits while striking out 11. Her complete game highlighted a 3-0 win.
The Dodgers sent in three runs in the first to take control then added solo tallies in the second and fourth.
Addison Reilly drove in three runs with a 2×4 day at the plate. Joining her with two hits were Lathrop, Brienna Wasley and Alana Bradley. Emma Dougherty and Brielle Walmer both had one hit.
The Dodgers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Reilly grounded into a fielder’s choice. Bradley singled down the left field line, and Reilly scored after tagging up.
Dodgeville added one run in the second after Reilly singled down the left field line.
Brooklyn Stokes was 2×3 for the Blackhawks with a double. Nahalia Willey and Alyssa Nachreiner had te rest of the four RV hits.
