AVOCA

Prior to Memorial Day, Thursday, May 21, members of the American Legion Post 335 will meet at the Avoca school parking lot at 5 p.m. They will leave at 5:30 p.m. sharp and head to Pulaski Church on 6763 Highway P. This is the first stop at approx. 6:00 p.m., then to Fairview Church on 2293 Fairview Rd. at approx. 6:30 p.m. At 7:00 p.m. they will be at the Clyde Township, 6610 Highway 130 where the old County shop was, and then lastly at North Otter Creek Cemetery on 6969 Bigelow Hill Road at 7:15 p.m. Names of military veterans buried at each stop will be read. After names are read, a 21 gun salute and taps will take place. All are welcome.

BARNEVELD

DODGEVILLE

The Dodgeville Library is celebrating America at 250 years with a youth art contest and display of historical documents (see their Facebook page). Submit by May 23. Voting is the final week of May for People’s Choice Award.

The Second Harvest Mobile Food Pantry at Ss. Anthony & Philip Church in Highland, WI will not be in operation the month of May. Regular operations will resume with 2 pantries in June, Monday, June 1st & Monday, June 22nd.

If so, the Iowa County Cancer Coalition is dedicated to helping our friends and neighbors in Iowa County with some of their financial needs while battling this disease. Assistance will be provided by giving gas cards, grocery cards, or paying a bill directly for the patient.
