Donald Hirsch of Denver, North Carolina spent a few days in the area. He went to Tower Junction with the Linden “Foodie Group” on Thursday and really enjoyed time spent reminiscing with the Linden gang.
Terry and Judy (Hirsch) Mills of Fayetteville, North Carolina were here for the funeral services of their sisterin-law, Barbara Hirsch on Saturday, May 9, 2026. They stayed with Judy’s sister, Jane O’Flahrity in Mineral Point. Donald Hirsch also stayed with Jane to attend the services.
On Friday night Linda Nichols went to Jane O’Flahrity’s for supper and to visit with Don Hirsch and Judy and Terry Mills. We all got a chance to catch up with each other.
Saturday Linda Nichols enjoyed a birthday party for Maylee Butteris who celebrated becoming a teenager “13” hosted by Brandon and Michelle Butteris at “The Shed” at Grandpa Kevin and Grandma Carolyn’s. Grandma Lori Shemak, Mike and Lynette Shemak, Rod Lindner, Terry Morrisey, cousins, Treaton Loeffelholz and friend, Quinn, Deklynn and Daxton, Kristin Butteris, Clarisa and Richie Aide, girls, Rae- Lynn, Hadleigh, Ruby and Hazeleigh enjoyed pizza and cake and ice cream. Iowa-Grant High School graduation ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the high school. Congratulations to all the graduating Seniors. Best of luck in your future endeavors!
Mark your calendars and save the dates for the 2026 Iowa County Cancer Coalition Brat Stand and Bake Sales. Help kick-off these fundraisers events on Tuesdays, June 2-July 7-August 4. The stand will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. It will be held in Cobb across from the Royal Bank. Enjoy all the fixings and delicious selection of homemade baked goods. Come support this great cause!
