Dear Editor,
As you go about your daily routine, do you ever think about the wind turbine projects? Why has Pattern Energy failed to respond to certified letters from townships, individuals and those with diagnosed health conditions? Why have questions been repeatedly ignored for years by Pattern Energy? Why is the driftless area at risk of being destroyed by Industrial Wind Turbines proposed by Pattern Energy? Why don’t our news stations and radios provide coverage of this life changing project?
This is not about NIMBY’s (Not In My Back Yard). This is about the health and safety of residents in the area (both human and animal) and the environmental concerns at stake. Have you done all you can do to fight the Uplands Wind East project by Pattern Energy? The time for PUBLIC OUTCRY is NOW! If you turn the other way or don’t take the time to act now – you’ll be stuck with the results. We need everyone in the area to write letters to the Wisconsin Public Service Commission (WI PSC) and your legislators.
The time to act is NOW, before it’s too late. Pattern Energy is proposing industrial wind turbines up to 656′ tall. These will be visible for 40+ miles. This is not another project like the original Montfort turbines. These turbines will be twice as tall, capable of increased infrasound, elevated environmental damage, and potential ground water contamination.
Turbines are proposed less that 1 mile from Yellowstone State Park. Pattern Energy should not be allowed to place turbines that close to a State Park and wildlife area. State Parks were established to preserve the beauty of the land, the welfare of birds and wildlife and protect natural resources. The time to fight this project is NOW, before it’s too late. We have a core group that continues to fight, but we need more people to step up.
We need more people to write letters to the PSC and legislators. We need people to strengthen the fight and push back against Pattern Energy. Do it NOW, before it’s too late. For more information. please visit No-Uplands.com
