It looked like a football score. River Valley outlasted Riverdale 23-15 in a non-conference baseball game Monday.
Four players drove in 15 of the runs. Quincy Blakley was 3×4 with a double and drove in five runs. Kaden Plumley doubled, went 2×4 and drove in four. Keagan Heiser drove in three runs, doubled and went 3×5.
The big day came from Jordan Gauger who went 5×5 with three doubles and three rbis.
Jackson Thatcher doubled and drove in one run to help in the scoring. Uriah S went 2×4 and drove in a run. Drew Riedel singled and drove in a run. Jaydn Gauger had a single for the Blackhawks.
Mitchell Hills, Kaden Plumley and Keagan Heiser all took a turn on the mound. They combined to strike out nine.
The Hawks scored once in the first then added five in the second, four in the third, six in the fourth, five in the fifth and two in the seventh for the win.
