Cuba City answered with one run in the bottom of the first. With a runner on first, Cuban Frankie Welp doubled to left field scoring courtesy runner Parker Rojemann.
With two outs in the top of the third inning and runners on first and second, Cole Ripp hit a ground ball back to the pitcher who committed an error allowing Kearns to score, making it 3-1. With runners now on second and third, Brylen Lee singled in both runners making it 5-1.
Mineral Point had six hits in the game, two by Kearns. Cole Ripp got the win for the Pointers on the mound pitching six innings and allowing only 5 hits, the one earned run, he struck out six and walked three.
