Pecatonica took a 2-1 lead in the first inning and went on to add two more tallies to claim a 4-1 win over Monticello/Albany in Six Rivers baseball Monday.
The visiting Vikings made the most of four hits, two each by Ashton McNett and Reid Schlimgen.
Both of Schlimgen’s hits were doubles.
Schlimgen doubled down the left field line, and McNett singled to left field to drive in the two first inning runs.
The Vikings added a run in the third. McNett singled down the left field line, making the score 3-1. Martin Anderson earned the win for the Vikings. He allowed six hits and one run over four and one-third innings, striking out five and walking none. Austin Enloe earned the save. He gave up two hits, walked one and struck out one.
