Mason Durst and Hunter Larson combined to pitch a gem for Barneveld to pace the Golden Eagles to an 8-0 win over Belmont in a Six Rivers baseball game Friday.
The duo limited the Braves to two hits with each giving up one. Durst struck out 11 in his six innings of work. He walked two.
Larson finished the final frame, giving up one hit and striking out the side for the save.
The Golden Eagles got untracked in the bottom of the third inning after Larson singled in a run. Landon Beicher singled for two runs, Ty Thousand doubled, scoring another run, and Cooper Shipman singled for one more for a 5-0 lead.
The Golden Eagles tallied nine hits in the game. Beicher led the Golden Eagles with two runs batted in.
Thousand and Aaden Bomkamp each collected two hits for Barneveld with Durst, Larson and Mason Haesler each adding one hit.
